The EMS316 Multistart unit is used in the Celluar Telecom Sector for delaying the starting of the Genset after a mains fail until either the batteries need charging or the cell hut temperature require airconditioning.

Its purpose is to save fuel by running the Diesel Genset only when required.
It is a Din Rail mounted unit and can provide the front end moniroing for any Genset Controller with an autostart input.

Many applications require additional inputs and outputs to those provided on the controller. The EMS930 provides an additional 8 outputs and 8 inputs often required in Telecom applications. When connected for remote monitoring the unit combines both Generator Controller and I/O expansion data together.

The RS486 port allows the unit to be used as a stand alone modbus node.

NO/NC contacts allow for flexible interfacing.

The EMS315 Relay module provides the two power relays for Fuel and Crank control. The unit automatically selects 12 Volt or 24 Volt operation based on the system battery voltage. The Contacts are rated for 70A inductive applications and comprise a high temperature Tungsten contact and a high current Silver contact for a long reliable operational lifetime.
