The company was first formed in 1976 as a specialist product development company. It was incorporated as Enouch Electronic LTD and later changed its name to Future Electronics LTD. The Company's first products were in the medical sound field and we designed and built several Audiology test facilities for the New Zealand Health Department. Progressively the business grew and undertook developments which included Door Automation, Security Monitoring System, Fire Pump Panels and a range of other product developments. Commercial companies were instigated for each market segment and have come and gone as the market changed. Future Electronics LTD remains at the core of the operation. During the late 1980's the company manufactured and sold a range of instruments used on engines and with diesel gensets. The mains markets were Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand. In 1991 the company developed the first microprocessor based engine control and instrumentation system and continued to develop its export market with sales to INDIA. Since then the company has continued to expand it range of products and now export to over 12 countries with a line up of some 30 models. There have been developments in associated markets such as battery charging, battery monitoring, marine instruments Fire Alarm Panels and the like. There are several associated companies which address specific market sectors and manufacturing functions. The group is extending its capacity by taking interests in supporting companies such as Printed Circuit Board Manufacture and Screen Printing. |
